Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Uplit ("Uplit: Affirmations & Widgets"), published by INDIGATE LLC. They supplementApple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. By using the app, you accept both.

The app

Uplit shows affirmations in the app, in widgets and in reminders. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store usage rules.

Not a health service

Affirmations are general words of encouragement. They are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and do not replace a professional. If you are struggling, please reach out to a health professional or, in an emergency, to your local emergency services.

Your own affirmations

• You are responsible for the affirmations you write. They stay on your iPhone; we cannot see them.
• Your favorites and own affirmations are not synced to the cloud. We cannot recover them if they are lost with your device.

Optional account

• Uplit can be used without an account. An account, created with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, is only needed for Lumi to write affirmations for you, and it keeps your profile if you change phones.
• You can sign out or delete your account at any time in Settings > Account. Deleting it erases your account and profile from our server; it does not cancel a subscription, which is managed in your Apple Account settings.
• How your account data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Affirmations written by Lumi

• Lumi writes affirmations automatically with an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic), from your profile and what you choose to share. They are generated text: they may be imperfect, inaccurate or not suited to you, and you decide which ones to keep.
• They are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and must not be relied on in an emergency.
• You are responsible for what you type. Do not enter sensitive information you do not want processed this way, or content that is unlawful or harms others.
• With an account, a limited number of free writing requests is available; with a subscription, Lumi can write for you every day. To keep the service fair and available, the number of requests per day is limited, and we may suspend access in case of abuse.

Subscription

• Some features of Uplit (additional categories, themes and widget styles, your own affirmations, read-aloud, additional reminders and daily writing by Lumi) are available with an auto-renewable subscription. The rest of the app can be used without one.
• The subscription is offered as an auto-renewable yearly subscription, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, or as an auto-renewable weekly subscription. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends. If notifications are allowed, we remind you the day before the trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless they are canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Content

The affirmations, themes and design of Uplit belong to INDIGATE LLC. You may share affirmations as images for personal, non-commercial use.

Acceptable use

Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or its content, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Apple’s rules.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or that reminders and widgets will always appear on time, as iOS decides when they are delivered and refreshed, and we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously breached.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the publisher is registered, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
